Vintage Circa 1960's

Approximately 3.5" Tall x 4.25" Wide at it's widest part. Has carrying handle and three legs. Cauldron is approximately 6" tall with the handle extended. Cauldron weighs around 1 pound.

The dates that I'm finding on this wonderful little Cauldron place it in the 1960's. This is a truly vintage piece and one of our favorite finds! We can not find a mark on it, so we will label it in near mint+++ condition. Has a stucco type textured finish on the outside. An excellent addition to your Cauldron collection or for your Milk Glass collection.

Part of our namesake, The cauldron is a very special tool indeed. There is a strong magical signifigance to the cauldron in many cultures throughout history.

In Celtic mythology, the cauldron is associated with the Goddess Cerridwen and it also represents the womb. Placed on your Altar, it represents the Earth.

In the witch lore of the middle ages, the cauldron was where poisons and ointments were brewed. In Irish folklore, it is where the Leprechauns keep their treasure.

These cauldrons have many uses. Burn herbs, incense, resins, incense powders, casting powders and more. Cauldrons are also great for hanging over the fire and simmering your favorite brews. (see our brews section under herbs for some wonderful choices). Although glass Cauldrons are not suitable for hanging over the fire, they are still great vessels for burning incense or candles !!!

You MUST use a layer of sand in the bottom before burning incense!!! Don't want to crack your Vintage find.

Use your cauldron where you like, on your Altar, inside your magic circle, inside, outside, day or night. Keep your Vintage Milk Glass Cauldron clean between uses.

Please use extreme caution when handling and burning with these cauldrons. Always use proper pot holders when handling the cauldron, as it may get extremely hot. When burning charcoals for resins and incense, it is always best to use a layer of sand or ash in the bottom of the cauldron to ensure that there is a barrier between the hot coals and the cast iron. Sand and ash are both sold here in our Incense category under Incense Accessories.

As with all incense burning vessels, please use caution and keep away from children and pets. Please be safe.
