Osha Root has been used historically as a throat soother when chewed. Osha Root releases toxins from the stomach and lungs. The Native Americans called it "Bear Root" and nearly every Indian tribe used this root. It can also be steeped in liquid to form an external tonic for sore muscles.

Osha can be burned to scent the clothing, hair and room. Use this root for purification, protection and to call upon the ancestors.

Uses And Preparations:

Teas, tinctures, encapsulations. Tinctures and extracts vary widely in concentration; be sure to follow instructions on the label. Also used is steams and saunas.
