An Apache / Jicarilla Legend:

If you hold an Apache Tear up to the light, you can see the tears of the Pinal Apache Women who morn for their dead Men. These brave men jumped to their death off a cliff rather than face death by the hands of the White Man.
These black obsidian Apache Tears are said to bring good luck to those possessing them. It is also said that whoever owns an Apache Tear will never cry again, for the Apache Women shed the tears for you.
Apache Tears balance the emotions and protect you from being taken advantage of. Also use Apache Tears to heighten psychic awareness, meditate, promote positive patterns in your life and to turn over a new leaf. ~
