I am so in love with these! I only found a few, but I’m searching for more. I am constantly asked for a food safe Cauldron, and while this isn’t cast iron, but ceramic, it certainly works.
These are food, oven, microwave and dishwasher safe. Although I do not recommend placing it directly on a stove burner, I don’t see why it couldn’t hover above a heat source, much as the same principal as the oven. As long as it isn’t direct heat. After all, these are fired in a kiln which gets pretty hot.
Now you can conjure up some good ol’ fashioned Kitchen Witch Magic and bake some spells and enchantments into each dish.
Oven safe up to 400 degrees.
The Cauldron
Our namesake!
In Celtic mythology, the cauldron is associated with the Goddess Cerridwen, and it also represents the womb. Placed on your Altar, it represents the Earth. Representing all elements, earth, air, fire + water, its shape reflects the soul of Mother Nature, the three legs, the Triple Goddess and the three phases of the moon, waxing, full and waning. The Cauldron is also a symbol of enlightenment and transformation.
The Cauldron is a traditional cooking pot for both food and medicines. The Cauldron is also used for burning herbs, incense, resins, incense powders, casting powders and more. Cauldrons are also great for hanging over the fire and simmering your favorite brews.
It is said that any who brew in a Cauldron will be the receivers of good luck. Irish folklore is filled with stories about Cauldrons that never run out of food or medicines. Odin, of Norse mythology is said to have received some of his powers by drinking from a Cauldron. There are also many tales of rebirth using the Cauldron throughout many cultures.
