About Us
~ Philosophy ~
A slow living philosophy transforms into a slow crafted herbal catalog. I ship quickly, but my products and self-infused or crafted ingredients are developed slowly and carefully. Consider me analog in a digital age....
No automation, no industrial machines. My oils are infused by sunlight, not stovetop. I craft everything in small, quality-controlled batches. This being said, sometimes my stock runs low or runs out even. I have to wait sometimes for oils to finish infusing or herbs to dry before finishing and restocking.
Herbs are home grown or wild harvested when possible, and purchased from trusted, environmentally responsible companies, when not.
Quality, hand crafted products is all we offer. No rushing production.
I embrace the old ways.
We have removed plastics, anything not re-usable or recycle-able or biodegradable, clear tape from packaging etc. and keep everything from production to shipping as natural, recycle-able and minimalistic as possible.
Everything from purchasing the raw materials to production to packing and shipping is done with the environment in mind. I try to keep my footprint small while making the best products I can for you.

~ Natural, raw ingredients ~
Our soap is crafted using the cold process soap making method, preserving the properties of the natural ingredients as much as possible. We use a high percentage of Olive Oil, nutrient rich, resulting in a hard bar of soap. Coconut Oil is used for rich fluffy lather. We then add Cocoa Butter, which is rich in emollients, making a creamy bar and just a tiny touch of Beeswax making our soap long lasting. Some recipes include alternate oils and butters, all of which have their own skin nourishing properties.
Next, we add organic herbs, spices, clays and minerals. Each scented bar of soap contains nothing but the best Essential Oils. Any soap you see that has color has been colored by natural additives, clays or natural pigments, nothing more! No animal fats or artificial ingredients are ever used. Each bar retains it's natural glycerin content for a superior quality soap.
Our products are sulfate free, petroleum free and made in small batches for quality control. All of our products are sampled, tested and retested to assure the finest quality is passed on to you.
Why don't you try going natural? Our products are Mother Earth friendly and have the ingredients clearly listed on the labels, and yes, you can pronounce them too.
The quality of our products is of the highest standards! Raw ingredients such as Olive Oil, Cocoa Butter, Pure Essential Oils and Herbs are used to create soap and body care products you can feel good about putting on your skin.
~ How to care for your Handmade Soap ~
Your natural soap needs plenty of air circulation. Let your soap dry out between uses.
Do not let it lay in a pool of water in the shower. Keep it out of the direct flow of the shower head as much as possible.
We offer handcrafted wood soap dishes specifically designed for a well-drained and ventilated bar of soap.
~ Natural vs. Synthetic ~
Are you using store bought soap? Do you know what's in it? Can you pronounce the ingredients? Did you know that most soap on the market today is not soap at all? Some of these products are detergents, which contain petroleum distillates.
Petroleum...although it has many forms, is the same stuff you use to fuel your car! Do you really want that on your skin?
Plus, we do not feel that there has been enough testing done to show the long-term effects these products will have on our bodies.
Natural herbs and essential oils, however, have been in use since recorded history. Yucca and soapwort were some of the first substances discovered for cleansing the skin.
The Ebers Papyrus, an ancient Egyptian medical document (approx. 1500 BCE), has evidence of a type of soap that combined alkaline salts and oils for washing. And an even older Sumerian tablet describes a soap of alkali and cassia oil. There has always been a need for body care products, and our Ancient Ancestors showed us the way. Only in recent years have artificial products been available on the market.
Essential Oils are called Essential Oils, they are labeled as 100% pure (some organic). They are not called "fragrances", "perfume oils", "nature identical oils" or "potpourri oils". These artificial fragrances are made in a lab and who knows what they contain. Toxic, toxic, toxic!
If an Essential Oil, Carrier Oil or Herb does not have a Latin botanical name, then it is most likely 100% artificial.
Other synthetic ingredients include FD&C colors, sodium lauryl sulfate and antibacterial triclosan. If you have some shower gel or mass marketed soap, pick it up and read the ingredients. What do you see?
Triclosan, the agent commonly found in antibacterial soaps and other antibacterial products is classified by the EPA as a pesticide. The FDA considers it a risk to the environment and to the health of humans.
Although some of these soaps are decorative and great smelling, you have to be true to yourself and ask "is this really what I want on my skin"? It takes 26 seconds for chemicals in synthetic body care products to enter your body. You wouldn't want to eat chemicals or man-made fragrance oils, so why put them on your skin? They go directly into your body, and who knows what the long-term consequences are.
After you use and smell the real deal for a while, you will be able to spot the difference in a second. You will never want to go back to synthetic ingredients in your body care products again.
