Dusting is the traditional word here in the south for ritual sweeping. You will hear folks say they need to “dust their house”, “dust their broom” or “that man needs dustin’”.
When you feel you have negative energies or unwanted evil in the house, sweeping it out can be very effective. According to hoodoo riddance rituals, dusting one’s broom first with powder will sweep a house free of unwanted bad energy (and unwanted houseguests).
The scent: Light and mild coffee, spice and herbs. The coffee scent may be the first thing you notice.
“Dust” your broom and then sprinkle around your home. Directions are included on package. Little broom in photo is a prop and is not included.
