Raw Earth & Herb Soap
Our favorite ingredients all in one soap, the scent of this soap is incredible! The benefits for the skin....awesome. This has always been one of my favorite soaps. I love the scent of all the essential oils individually, but combined the scent is truly unique.
Patchouli is soothing and relaxing and has been used for centuries for the treatment for acne, as an antibacterial, and as an insect repellent.
Frankincense is known to be beneficial to acne, burns, dry skin, eczema and oily skin. It has also been used since ancient times to help aging skin and wrinkles.
Lavender is derived from the Latin word Lavare, which means "to wash". Lavender is good for burns, it is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, an antiseptic, a deodorant, an insecticide, a sedative and an antidepressant. Lavender is also good for acne, dermatitis, eczema, infection, insect bites, sunburn, and a whole list of other skin care benefits!
Labdanum is used for its amazing scent. It has a long history of use as a fixative in perfumery. In ancient times, the resin was scraped from the fur of goats and sheep that had grazed on the shrubs. Collected by shepherds, it was sold to coastal traders. The false beards worn by the pharaohs of ancient Egypt were actually the labdanum-soaked hair of these goats.
Cleansing, soothing, and like a meditation session in the bath!
I still make these in thick, chunky bars, like always! These bars are raw, un-trimmed and slightly smaller than our regular bars. Reason being the ingredients are a bit more costly.
The scent: Raw herbs but rich and exotic. The Labdanum is very resinous and blends well with the pungent Lavender and Frankincense. The Patchouli rounds out the scent and makes for an Earthy scent.
Weight: Each bar weighs approx. 4- 4.5oz.
Size: Approx. 2.25” x 3.25” Due to the handmade, hand cut nature, size and weight may vary slightly.
About my soaps: All my soaps are made using the cold process method. Cold process soap is made with lye. Lye is a natural ingredient made from wood ash. Once the soap has gone through the saponification process, which turns oils and lye into soap, there is no lye present in the cured, finished bar.
Handmade in small batches.
After the soap is made and cut into bars by hand, the leftover ends and pieces are used for samples, so none is wasted.
This handcrafted soap contains:
Saponified Olive Oil, Coconut Oil. Cocoa Butter, Avocado Oil & Castor Oil.
Essential Oils of Lavender, Frankincense, Labdanum & Patchouli.
With the addition of Cambrian Blue Clay, French Green Clay & Activated Charcoal.
