Each Wooden soap deck has been cut in a way that allows the water to drain completely away from your soaps.

Poplar wood performs exceptionally well for a soap deck against moisture and water exposure.

Poplar wood is a hardwood that is sustainable and fast growing. It grows in abundance here in North America. Colors will vary from deck to deck from dark to green to cream. See photos for variations.

These soap decks are unfinished, raw wood. If you want to seal them with something I only recommend beeswax as anything else, such a stain or varnish will transfer to your soap and then to your skin.

To extend the life of your soap deck, it is recommended to use them in pairs. Use one for 2-3 weeks wipe with a damp cloth and let it dry completely. Then switch to a second deck and follow the same procedure. This will help prevent mildew and mold from forming and keep the decks from becoming waterlogged.

Do not let it lay in a pool of water in the shower. Keep it out of the direct flow of the shower head as much as possible.
